Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be ALS.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and would like to reassure you that these symptoms are not suggestive of ALS.

The most likely cause of your symptoms is a condition called as benign fasciculations, where muscle twitching can occur without weakness. Anxiety can worsen the symptoms.

In ALS, it is a slow onset disease starting in one arm or leg, with thinning of muscles and weakness. Over months to years, the disease progresses to rest of body.

I hope it helps.

Ok thank you very much . What is best for me to stop the muscle fasciculations ? Should I help the anxiety first and then see what happens?
doctor

Brief Answer:
Anxiety should be reduced first.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

No medications are generally needed to stop these benign fasciculations.

I agree that reducing anxiety would help.

Rest and relaxation would also help.
