Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your query and understand your concern.
As per the facts that you have shared here,I would like to say that some person have gynaeoid body type in which weight gain is mostly occur in lower portion of the body like hips, buttocks and legs.
But before going into further discussion, I will need to know your present weight and height.
Also let me know,in how many days you have gained 5 kg weight.
Runny and blocked nose are the symptoms of rhinitis (whether allergic or infective) or acute sinusitis.
Runny nose is mostly due to viral infection because of our low immunity or allergic to certain substances like dust, pollens or grass.
So,you can make out yourself that from which you are allergiv and by which particular substance you are getting repeated cold symptoms.
You can take below mentioned symptommatic treatment,
1) Take alternative antiallergic drugs like antihistamines (fexofenadine) with mast cell stabilizers (montelukast) like brand name Montair-Fx from the relief of allergic symptoms especially if levocetrizine and montelukast combination (like lazine M which you were given) is not much effective.
2) Take decongestants like phyenylephrine if you have congestive symptoms in nose or throat.
3) Steroid nasal spray like rhinocort, flonase or beconase will also be helpful for symptomatic relief.
4) Nebulisation twice daily with saline and take steam inhalation 2 to 3 times a day.
But the best way to cure allergy is to avoid contact with the allergen,so you can make out which particular substance is causing it and try avoid contact it.
Hope this information will help you and kindly get back to me with more information as I asked.
Regards,
