Suggest Treatment For Weird Smell And Dizziness
I think it is better to visit emergency
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understand your concerns.
Presence of smell for one person is always indicative of brain disorder and not a problem related to sinuses or nose. In fact in the nose problem person does not perceive smell or smells very intensely but never smells a thing which is not present.
I will recommend two things.
If you use/abuse any substance or medication please stop it as soon as possible. It is my frequent observation that in 90 % of such patients problem gets rectified in a short span of time once the offending agent is stopped.
In case you are not using any substance or medication please see the emergency doctor. I do not feel you should wait to schedule an appointment.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
I ended up going to the emergency room, but since I wasn't showing any other signs or feeling any symptoms, they thought a CAT scan would be overkill. Said it may be Phantosmia and to follow up with my PCP. Better safe than sorry. Thank you!
You are always welcome

Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me with updates.
I am pleased to know that there was nothing serious and reassurance.
It is always better when we get benign diagnosis rather than a sinister one.
You can still have one more follow up query if you want.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.
