Suggest Treatment For White, Painless Patches Of Skin On Scrotum
vitiligo
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM fro your medical questions
I also appreciate the photos of the areas as they really help my ability to diagnose the problem. What I see here is a condition called vitiligo which is a disorder of the pigmentation of the skin. This is a benign condition and thought to be an auto immune disorder where the bodies antibodies destroy the pigment cells. There is occasional other auto immune disorders that accompany this disorder like Hashimoto's thyroiditis. The patches may enlarge and you may still get more hypo-pigmented areas. Once you have lost the pigment it is unlikely to return to normal.
There are no treatments that work consistently. Some doctors have tried using steroid creams but as your lesions are in such a delicate area and are not cosmetically distracting I would not treat.
