Suggest Treatment For White Spots On Left Tonsil
Question: I have white spots on my left tonsil and a couple of blisters on that side too! Lots of deep redness in back of throat as well! Been to my primary and was tested for strep prior to spots and blisters. Came back negative but put me on Zpak med 250. called Dr this morning to tell her about white spots and blisters and stated to continue the Zpak I've read that Zpak is not effective for possible strep is this correct?

Zithromax does cover strep infections. It sounds like yours may be more viral but in any case as long as you are taking the zpack you will be covered if it is a strep throat infection.
