Suggest Treatment For White Spots On The Face Caused By Calcium Deficiency

Question: Hello Doctor,
My son Parth is 8 yr old boy. He has fair skin however he got some marks on his face after playing in sunlight during his sports day.
I have also noticed some white spots on his face which some of the people told could be due to calcium deficiency.
I have applied some good moisturizer on his face and its been over 1 month but those sun burn marks and spots are not going away.
I also think I should give him some multi vitamin syrup as he is a vegetarian.
Suggest me on this please.

Brief Answer:
Looks like Pityriasis XXXXXXX - suggested management
Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I have just seen the image of your son. I feel that this could be mild fungal infection called Pityriasis XXXXXXX This does not look like a sunburn mark or photo dermatitis.
This is not due to multi vitamin deficiency or calcium and vitamin D deficiency.
Using mild steroid like Atonide gel along with moisturizer lotion like Atogla will definitely help.
This mild steroid Atonide gel is a prescription drug and you will need one for it. I suggest that you consult a paediatric Dermatologist and obtain a prescription regarding the same.
If you want to give a multivitamin supplement for your kid, I suggest that you give becosules capsule 1 per day for a month.
Regards - Dr. Sumanth
