Question: I have severe pain in my back and have been given kadain 40mg everly 12 hours with very little relief. My doctor switched me to embeda 80mg every 24 hours. I took 1 with 2 neurontin 100mg about 3 hours now and have been going into withdrawl. I am in agony, from the pain and the withdrawl symtems. What should I do? Is this normal? Help!!!!
Brief Answer:
It is normal with embeda, continue it as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello
welcome to health care magic
I really appreciate your concern
Embeda contains Morphine and Naltrexone. Naltrexone blocks other action of the morphine like euphoria (sense of well being) and may precipitate withdrawl symptoms other than pain killer.
You are right, you can experience some of withdrawal symptoms with Embeda.
I would advise you to continue with Embeda and keep yourself active and happy .
Please feel free to ask for further clarifications I will be happy to help you
Best wishes
