Brief Answer:
Unlikely to land in withdrawal

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
If the drinking pattern in not regular and mostly ones in three days then most probably there should not be any withdrawal. If at all there are mild withdrawal symptoms then taking Tab. Lorazepam 2mg at night for 2 days followed by making it half per night for next 2 days should suffice. This should take careof withdrawal symptoms if any.
The kind of drinking pattern that you have described is mostly present among the patients of depression and the same needs to be evaluated.
Naltrexone 50mg is a good drug for such drinking habits and definitely cuts down the amount of alcohol.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

actually the drinking pattern is may be because of the money problem. this person dosent have money everyday to drink. he gets it every 3-4 days..and then drink when money is there. and havent seen withdrawl symptoms when he doesnt drink. and not willing to stop. can we give him desulfirum so he is also not able to drink occasionaly also...and then gets allergic to it ?

Brief Answer:
it's risky

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Disulfiram is a good drug but the reaction can sometimes get very severe and may cause death as well. Hence it is better tobbe avoided. The better way would be psychological therapies like motivational enhancement therapy and relapse prevention therapy along with naltrexone.
No need to treat withdrawal symptoms if there are none.
