Question: i have been forgetting words, past 2 years, i am talking to anybody and i dont remember how this thing is called, so i say the description of what i want to say and the other person i am talking to, tells me the word.
regular day to day words sometimes, but in general words that i havent used for a while, then a few minutes later after they say the word, sometimes i still dont remember it.
i also had sometimes days until a word comes to my mind, not minutes.

also, i noticed i dont sleep more than 2 hours at a time, at night, i wake up every 2 hours, sometimes go to the bathroom a lot, sometimes not as much, since ive been trying not to eat or drink after 5 pm to see if that is why i wake up, but i still wake up every 2 hours, then fall asleep fast, i dont stay awake at all. but i wake up again after 2 hours.

Brief Answer:
Neurological consultation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, a neurological consultation is necessary in your case to evaluate further possible neurological conditions that may cause your symptoms.

These include mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and normal pressure hydrocephalus.

Another possible condition to consider, since you became vegan from a year, is low blood vitamins B group levels.

It is necessary to get neuropsychological tests and blood tests done in order to diagnose properly your condition.

Brain imaging studies such MRI also may be of help in achieving a correct diagnosis.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Normal levels of vitamin B12 are 200 - 900 picograms, however the desired level is above 500 pictograms/ml, so you can use it.

Hope this helps.

what is the best B12 ?

i got methylcobalamin 1000 micrograms
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Erion Spaho (28 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
OTC doses range from 500 to 5000 micrograms.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back and thanks for the follow up question.

Methylcobalamin is the most absorbable and biodisponible form of vitamin B12 supplements.

Over the counter brands have a quantity of vitamin B12 that ranges from 500 to 5000 micrograms.

1000 micrograms is a relatively low dose as supplement, you can take two tablets/daily or you can use single doses of 2500 micrograms for example.

Remember not to take vitamin B12 before sleep, because it may be stimulating and may disturb sleep.

Hope this helps.

Greetings.
