Question: I am a 56 year old Female 5'9" 165lbs. In December of 2010'i had a complete hysterectomy lapis optic with the Divi chi Robotic surgery. I also had a bladder sling. I had the hysterectomy due to post menopausal bleeding due to a fibroid cyst about the size of a grapefruit. Less than a year later I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia due to pain on the sides of my legs. It was painful to touch the sides of my legs. The doctor thought it was due to stress which was flaring up the nerve endings on the side of my legs. I was prescribed cymbalta and pain killers. I have always been active and worked out 3-5 times a week. I have not been able to workout for 3 years. My condition is worsening. I try to manage the pain with yoga and deep tissue massage along with Aleve. I do not like to take pain killers. I do not want to live life in a fog! I have been prescribed gabapentin, steroid shots in my abdomen, and different drugs. Nothing was successful. I was then sent to a neurologist who did a nerve conduction study and was diagnosed with melagia paracetica. I don't believe I have either of these conditions. I have had an MRI, nerve conduction study, X-rays, blood work and urinalysis. All tests came out inconclusive and noncommittal. I had a colonoscopy last October and talked to my gastral intestinal doctor because I now have chronic constipation. I could not have a bowl movement without an enima. I would get so backed up I would vomit and have horrible acid reflux. He prescribed me linzess. We tried other prescriptions first that were less expensive but they didn't work. The low dosage of linzess gives me chronic diahrea for three or 4 hours so I take it at night. This doctor said I could have scar tissue, a crimped nerve in my abdomin from the hysterectomy. The neurologist said the next step would be exploratory surgery (like my insurance company would approve that)! In the last year I have also developed restless leg syndrome. I currently take the following prescription: Imitrex for migraines as needed. Linzess I x daily for chronic constipation. Cymbalta for fibromyalgia and ropaneral for restless leg syndrome. My husband wants me to see a specialist but I'm not even sure what kind of doctor to see. I still don't feel I have an accurate diagnosis. I live in Casper Wyoming and could easily travel to XXXXXXX I just want my life back! Please help me.

I only took the steroid shots once in both sides of my abdomen. They had no effect on the pain in my legs and I gained eight pounds in a month. The neurologist then put me on Gabapenton and I gained another 6 pounds and no relief. I figured at this rate they would be rolling me into the next Doctor. Is there any test that can confirm or rule out a kinked nerve, a blockage or scar tissue that is causing my problem? I still don't have an accurate diagnosis. I don't want to go under the knife for exploratory surgery. These homeopathic medicines that you refer to, do I need a prescription? Can I pick these up at like natural grocery? I live in Wyoming where these May be hard to find. Can I order them on the internet? Thank you for your help. I will try to find a neurologist in XXXXXXX Do you have any suggestions. The prescriptions intake now are the imitated for migraine 25 years. Cymbalta for fibromyalgia (5 years). Linzess for constipation since October of 2014, and Ropaneral since approx XXXXXXX 2014. I could probably ween myself of the Cymbalta.
