Brief Answer:
Few options

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
And I think I can suggest the following measures

1. Keep the wrist warm.
2. It would be better if you avoid shoveling. But do not stop the routine work.
3. Pain killers will help only temporarily. So avoid as far as possible.
4 If you have to continue shoveling, use a wrist guard. Its like a band that most sportsman use that will keep your wrist safer.
5. Fenugreek seeds in a glass of water may help you heal faster.
6. Make sure you avoid the excess cold.
7. Make sure you get your hands warm immediately after finishing shoveling.

In the above, I am assuming that you have no arthritis as a regular problem.
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
