Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection During Pregnancy
Question: Hi Doctor
I am 6 weeks pregnant now.
My blood test came out fine with 7025 hcg level and 16.3 as progestrone level.
but I am diagnosed with yeast infection and the nurse/mid wife prescribed for Terconazole Vaginal .8% to be applied for three days before bed time.
In the drug instruction paper, I see a note that it should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy unless the physician considers it essential to the welfare of the patient.
Can you please advise if its safe to take?
P.S., Please be advised that I had ectopic pregnancy last year. Also I am an endometriosis stage 3 to 4 patient.
