Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection
Question: I have yeast infection since taking the drugs Harvoni and Ribrial trating Hep C. My doc told me to buy OTC Monistat which I bought the 1 day treatment. That was a week ago Wednesday. I still have slight itching and soreness. Is this normal and when will this disappear for good. Do I need to repeat treatment or make an appointment with my Doctor? Thanks xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Brief Answer:
Use Monistat for a week
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about fungal infection.
Following is my reply:
1) Monistat for one day is not going to help you much.
2) You need to use Monistat for a week. It will help in reducing the infection as well as reduce itching.
3) Even if it does not reduce after a week of Monistat use, you can use anti fungal vaginal pessaries which can be used by inserting vaginally for a week. This will reduce the infection completely.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards
