Suggest Treatment For Yellow Vaginal Discharge With Strong Odor
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I am gluten intolerant and have been suffering from vaginal discharge , yellowish, with a strong odor since I was 16. Dr was saying it's bv, but now he's stumped. No medication working. Tests all negative. It just won't go away. Possibly any relation to gluten????
Brief Answer:
precautions advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I understand your health issue.
It is most probably due to infection and not related to gluten, take a note of the following -
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it daily
- put tablet clotrimazole 200 mg inside your vagina daily at night for 6 nights, tablet fluconazole 150 orally stat dose once only and apply candistan or candid ointment twice a day for 7 days after consulting your gynecologist.
- wash perineal region with vWash liquid after bath
- use condom while having sex
- get your blood sugar levels checked
- get a pap smear examination done.
All the best.

Dr Manisha

Thanks a lot. However it is not an infection, like I expressed in the previous message, my gyn had assured me of that through various testing. He has also given me various medication and treatments for the bacterial vaginosis that I've been having reoccur since I was 16 years of age. I am now 33. Now I'm looking for other answers which is why I brought up the fact that my primary doctor tested me for gluten and found I was intolerant. I am stumped and trying to make connections
Brief Answer:
pap smear advised
Detailed Answer:
I understand your anxiety related to the issue but as it has been really long standing discharge you should have a pap smear examination for sure and in case all is well then can try tablet ecoflora or vibact-ds once at night vaginally for 45 days.
Get pap smear and update the report to me.
Take care.
