Suggest Treatment Of Pain In Carcinoma Breast Stage-4

Question: Hello Dr Grief! I have stage 4 breast cancer that has found it's way into my T 3 vertebrea. Now that has a stress fracture! How can I get rid of the pain?It happened 8 weeks ago this past Monday and I still am in terrble pain. No ortho doc appt and cannot take prescription pain meds...

There are multiple approach for the treatment of pain in carcinoma breast stage-4.

1. Since it has involved vertebra so pain can be combated by radiotherapy.

2. Few opioid analgesic indicated in cancer pain like,
Inj-Morphin 10 mg IM 3-4 times daily
Inj-Pethidine 50-100 mg 2-3 times daily

non-opioid
Tab- Ketorolac 20 mg 2 times daily
Tab- Naproxin,Ibuprofen,.etc

Any of these can be tried after consultation with your treating doctor.
