Suggest Treatment To Cure Eye Infection

Question: my 2 yr 4 month old daughter is having mucus secretion from the eyes since yesterday morning. yesterday wen she woke up the yellow color substance was present on her eyelids. its dry and present only in the right eye. today also the secretion was there. its summer now. is it due to heat? is this an eye infection? she goes to play school. could she have got it from some other kid? wat should be done to stop this secretion? should I sent her to play school with this? 1 week before I had a stye on mi one eye. did she get it from me? wat medicine or ointment should I use for her? how can I prevent from transferring to other eye and reoccurrence?

Brief Answer: it can be sty or blepharitis. Detailed Answer: It is infection either blepharitis or stye. It is to be confirmed by local examination by eye doctor. I would suggest to clean her eye with sterile swab. Antibiotic eye ointment like neosporine ophthalmic can be applied. If she has a sty appellation of effected lash is to be done to release pus collection. In both the cases she can go to school. In short, she needs to see a doctor who can start the treated after clinical examination. She may be able to go to school and perform her daily routine. Hope this helps.
