My question was it closed up and will not drain anymore.. But still has a lump
of infection in it. Will hot compresses open it again? It was really horrible before it ruptured.. I'm concerned that it will swell up again. It was swollen to the point that I couldn't open my eye before it ruptured. What I'm asking is will the hot compresses open it up again or does it need to be lanced? It's not painful and I'm thankful for that nor did and still have not ran a fever. But I still want it gone. I will attach before rupture and after rupture photos and how it looks this morning. Before after and this morning. This morning it is no longer even red and the skin gas nearly healed but it is more like a cone that round.
Thank you kindly XXXX
Brief Answer:
yes, hot compresses will open it again
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your query and seen the uploaded picture as well. It seems like a bacterial infection or abscess in the eye lid area.
I see that it has closed up and is not draining anymore. Surely, hot compresses will help it open again.
Continue to give hot compresses locally for next 5 days or until the time the swelling completely disappears.
I do not think it needs to be lanced.
I would suggest you to use topical eye ointment like Neosporin over the wound, thrice daily to help it heal faster.
