Suggest Treatment To Cure Open Skin Pores On Face And Nose
Provide more information
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query.
I would like to gather more information from you regarding your query.
-Do you have an oily skin? Do you have acne as well?
-Was the underarm hyperpigmentation preceded by itching/fungal infection?Or did it happen de novo?
-Do you have weight issues?
Pore size is genetically determined. People who have oilier skin have a bigger pore size as compared who have a dry skin.
However, you may take various treatments to alter the pore size e.g Regular glycolic peeling sessions either alone or combined with Microdermabrasion sessions, being the simplest and easiest.
Fractional CO2 Laser resurfacing is FDA approved for fine lines, wrinkles, pores etc.
Photorejuvenation employs Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and is also useful for skin rejuvenation and decreasing pore size.
A dermatologist usually performs these procedures.
Regarding the underarm hyperpigmentation I would keep a possibility of either post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation secondary to fungal infection Or I would keep a second possibility of Acanthosis Nigricans. A photograph of the area would certainly help. Can you upload, if possible?
While post inflammatory hyperpigmentation would go with time, if fungal infection is the underlying cause specially if further recurrence of fungal infection is prevented with regular use of an antifungal dusting powder e.g Abzorb dusting powder, On the other hand Acanthosis Nigricans is an asymptomatic velvety thickening and darkening of the skin of body folds e.g neck, axilla etc and is commonly seen in those who are overweight.
Kindly provide me the required information and preferably upload a photograph so that I may be able to guide you better.
Regards

Hi again
Oilier skin has a bigger pore size as compared to dry skin. This is genetically determined.
However, I would suggest you to take a few Microdermabrasion session alternating with Glycolic peeling sessions. You would certainly notice that your pores have become tighter and refined.
Regarding the hyperpigmentation in axilla, I have kept 2 possibilities:
1) Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and 2) Acanthosis Nigricans.
I would like to gather more information regarding this issue.
-Was the underarm hyperpigmentation preceded by itching/fungal infection?Or did it happen de-novo?
-Do you have weight issues?
I would be able to ascertain the exact cause if you can upload a photograph.
Fungal infections are common in the body folds like axilla, groin etc, there is usually associated itching. If fungal infection is the underlying cause for hyperpigmentation, the infection should be treated with topical antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole 1% cream and thereafter it is important to regularly use an antifungal dusting powder e.g Abzorb dusting powder to prevent a recurrence.
On the other hand Acanthosis Nigricans is an asymptomatic velvety thickening and darkening of the skin of body folds e.g neck, axilla etc and is commonly seen in those who are overweight. Weight reduction would help along with topical tretinoin 0.05% cream (Retino-A 0.05% cream), once daily at night.

Post Inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Hi again
Though the picture is not very clear but it seems like you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in underarms. I would suggest that you use "Melaglow New" cream, twice daily for underarm pigmentation. The cream contains various skin lightening agents like Soya Isoflavonoids, Glabridin, Tetrahydro Curcumin etc

Welcome
