Brief Answer: Continue drugs and life style modifications Detailed Answer: Hi, I went through the query and understood your concern. First of all I congratulate you for your concern on your health. Your HbA1c level in february was 7.4 and this suggests its still not in good control. Since daily sugar levels are in good control the expected result after 3 months should be lesser than 7. Usually in diabetes the triglycerides level will be raised and will come back to normal in most of my patients without any further treatment (sugar control is enough). With you after 35 days of treatment with Zyrova F the cholesterol level has been reduced. So you need to continue the same drug may be for another 2-3 months along with life style modifications. This will help in returning the levels to normal. The most important in chronic management is of your sugar levels. If it is normal all the associated conditions will also come to normal. Lifestyle modification: This will give maximum benefit for now. Exercise. 30 minutes every day for at least 6 days a week. Exercise like brisk walk, jogging, cycling, swimming, aerobics will help. Diet: Have food with complex carbohydrates like whole grains, vegetables, greens and fruits. Always vegetables grown over earth is better than roots and tubers. Less consumption of fat and refined sugars. Maintain your BMI well with in normal range. Medications: Continue same with monitoring sugar levels. Right now you continue the exercise and dieting as explained. Keep checking your sugar levels once every 3 monts. I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries or information. I will be glad to answer them. Wish you good health. Regards

Brief Answer: DM contributes for cholesterol. <7 good control. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, I have heard about flaxseed in controlling the cholesterol but I am not practicing in my patients. We have to practice only evidence based according to guidelines. I don't recommend this. Uncontrolled diabetes, raised cholesterol levels all may be associated with each other. One of the contributing factor for high cholesterol level is diabetes. Yes HbA1c level below 7 is good control in diabetic patients. Zyrova is a good drug and I have used this for years in my patients with no side effects. Every drug has its own side effect profile which may vary among each individuals. Since you had no side effects initially, the chance of allergic reaction is nil. But be vigilant about any side effects like severe muscular pain, dark colour urine or reduced urination as the drug can cause very rarely muscle damage. If any symptoms, you can check for Creatine phosphokinase levels for confirming. Otherwise continue the same. Hope this information answers your queries. Feel free to ask any further queries. Wish you good health. Regards
