Suggest Treatment To Relieve Itching And Rash On The Penis Under The Foreskin
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I believe I have Balanitis.
3 weeks back, I started experiencing itch under the foreskin and mild reddish rash on the pennis under the foreskin. Was NOT involved in any risky sexual encounter. I did have sex with my wife, but she does not have any yeast infection, at least not that she has any symptoms
I used topical antifungal cream and that seemed to hep, but it is still not completely gone. I do experience some itch, mild rash that comes and goes, and a feeling that the head of the pennis is a bit sensitive. I have used the topical antifungal not for almost 3+ weeks each night.
After about 3.5 weeks of using the 1% clotrimazole cream, everything completely cleared out and I felt normal. However, after 3 days, the reddish rash has come back. There is o itch, but the rash has come back.
I have not taken any oral antifungal tabs yet, but I did apply local antibiotic as well while I was applying the antifngal cream just so that it will clear if it is bacterial verses fungal.
What should I do?

Candida balanitis. Oral and topical antifungal
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have viewed the images.
It seems like a Yeast/Candida infection.
I suggest you to apply a topical Antifungal e.g Clotrimazole 1 % cream, twice daily, for a week.
In addition to this you may take a tab Fluconazole once a day for 3 days.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Do you believe for sure it is fungal, and not bacterial?
Brief Answer:
Candidal balanitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
The image is suggestive of candidal balanitis. However, confirmation of diagnosis requires either culture of candida from the glans or a therapeutic trial with topical Antifungals.
Take care,
