Suggest Vitamins To Be Taken For Polymyalgia Rheumatica

Prednisolone is the backbone treatment for GCA
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
The GCA is a rampantly progressive disease if not properly treated.
Your chiropractor is absolutely right in supporting Prednisolone, because that is the gold standard in GCA treatment and only moderate doses are required.
It will be a wise decision to start prednisolone, be on it and then other add on drugs might be tried. Never try to swap them for prednisolone.
Because the GCA and polymyalgia bear significant inflammation and oxydative load on body systems the antioxydants and vitmins appears a lucrative and promising option and can be added along with steroids for 3-6 months.
There are many brands that provide combinations of Vitamin B-complex, C,E and antioxydants. Mostly they are taken once a day in longterm.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

consult a local physician for cold
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Welcome back.
The GCA and Polymyalgia can be effectively controlled with moderate doses of oral steroids and patients can lead nearly normal life.
The CAD, Epilepsy or venous stasis ulcers do not affect the progress or recovery of this disease.
Make sure the ulcer area remains always dry and swelling free. Keeping the feet on a pillow to raise feet by half foot at bedtime will help.
The cold symptoms should be treated by a local physician after a detailed evaluation.
Meanwhile avoid cold surrounding and chilled liquids and have enough rest indoors.
I hope the advice will be helpful for you.

No, they were for Cold
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Welcome back.
I meant, you avoid chilled drinks and cold weather for your problem of Cold and not for GCA/MR.
Treatment of the later things has been already mentioned by me in earlier post.
It should be managed by moderate steroids and OTC pain killers and moderate exercises.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
