Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic
WEIGHT
Weight is like bank account / The amount in your account comes down when you withdraw more (physical work) and you deposit less (eat less). If the weight is picking up, it only means – the exercise is not enough / the food is more / or both....
You have to reduce the QUANTITY of your food and change the QUALITY too. It is not possible to explain or understand the nuances on a single occasion. To start with, reduce the amount to one third of what you are presently taking. Avoid all fats – they have double the energy of carbohydrates. You should see a good DIETICIAN - One generally needs SEVERAL sessions, to master concepts of calories, nutritional values, biological value, vitamins, minerals and so on.
This will also take care of your cholesterol
Exercise helps But you need to do really severe and prolonged exercise – several hours. Start half an hour a day and slowly step up every week. Its role is however is limited. For example, in walking 1 kilometre, one spends 1 Calorie per kilogram of his body weight! A cup of rice or an average bar of chocolate has approximately 200 calories. A treadmill may help. The ideal solution is to get yourself enrolled in a Gym and have a supervised program.
For weight reduction, there is no officially approved medicine without side effects.
You have to aim for slow and steady reduction – Up to 2 KG in a week, is generally safe.
BLOOD PRESSURE
The range for the upper figure (Systolic) is 90 to 140 mm Hg.
The range for the lower figure (Diastolic) is 60 to 90 mm Hg.
Check it on a few more occasions / Start treatment, if high
In view of the young age, you should consult a SPECIALIST in blood pressure – Cardiologist (Heart specialist) or Nephrologist (Kidney specialist) / You need aggressive INVESTIGATIONS like ECG, ultrasound abdomen & heart, Laboratory tests for kidney function, electrolytes, hormones etc.. not to miss any curable cause for the pressure
There is no sure way to bring it down to normal levels by non-pharmacological approach.
Some measures that may help are– Reduce salt. That is the best known measure to reduce the pressure. / Avoid highly salted items like pickles, chips, preserverd products and junk food
Avoid adding salt on dining table... / Reduce salt in cooking [There is small amount in most foods;
Restrict salt to the level of condiment!
Relax. Relaxation exercises and yoga may help
There are many CLASSES of drugs / There are several drugs in each class. / Each drug has a dose range… generally, Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitor / Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB) / Diuretic – individually or in different permutation / combination. The treating doctor alone could conclude better based on total clinical picture… Prognosis is generally excellent in such situations. Keep following up with your doctor.
Good luck
God bless you
