Brief Answer:
Too early to feel baby bump...relax and enjoy pregnancy every stage...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I am happy to know that you are pregnant and will enjoy your baby in a few months hopefully.
It is normal to be anxious, but not to overpass. Try to relax and follow all your doctor's recommendations. Eat healthy, take folic acid or any other vitamin that your doctor prescribed.
With regards to baby bump, it is too early to feel it. The very first thing is to feel his heartbeat first at 8th week. I believe your doctor has set an appointment at that time to have an ultrasound.
Please relax and pray God everything is ok.
All the best and God bless.

Explained below...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
Folic acid is a type of vitamin and is recommended in pregnant women.
Sometimes, based on blood tests results, iron supplements (which are also vitamins) are recommended.
This is what I wanted to explain in the earlier discussion.
Hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Should rule out uro-genital infection first....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
First, try to relax.
Next, pain on the pelvis area while being pregnant could be due to various causes:
- uterine spasms as the uterus gets bigger to hold the baby inside
- infection of uro-genital tract
- spinal cord pain especially if bad positioning during the sleep or after a very busy day.
The very first thing is to exclude uro-genital infection by urine analysis and vaginal swab testing. If everything is ok, then, sleeping on sides and putting a pillow in between your legs and on sides can help ease the spasms during the night.
Avoid standing for too long during the day.
Take paracetamol to ease the pain or spasmex. They are safe to use in pregnant women without over-dosed.
All the best and God bless.

I have had like sciatica is this normal. everything has resolved other than sciatica pain. i am only 5 weeks 2 days so isnt it too early for that
Brief Answer:
Sometimes, can be felt, but uro-genital infection should be ruled out...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
If there is no uro-genital infection, and nothing related to uterus, then, there is nothing worrisome.
If you felt like sciatica, it means it is muscular skeletal. Try to relax, have more rest, apply warm clothing on your back.
Yes, sometimes, this type of back pain are notable in some pregnant women with the same pregnancy age as you, especially if they are too stressed out as in your case.
All the best and God bless.

i am worried sick about miscarriage but as each day goes by my risk is going down. Can I have a scan at this point to make sure baby is where it should be or is it too early xx
Brief Answer:
Hi back....
Detailed Answer:
I understand you are worried, but:
- if you have pregnancy signs and if doctor confirmed pregnancy, then, calm down. Please take note that if you had miscarriage, it does not mean you'll have it again.
- with regards to ultrasound, you are can have your first ultrasound when your doctor will advise. Usually, it will be after 6 weeks of pregnancy (around 8 weeks) to hear the baby heart beats.
I understand you are too anxious about that moment, but, it is better to wait until then.
Take note that you are going to have an ultrasound and not X-ray. Ultrasound is not harmful to the baby as it uses ultra-sounds to evaluate the uterine and fetal development. It is not using radiological rays like x-ray examination does.
All the best and enjoy life and your baby:)
