Brief Answer:
No chance of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
Thank you for the query.
I can understand your concern.

A week before and after ovulation (day-14, if cycles are regular 28 days period) ie total of 14 days are considered as UNSAFE period.
Rest of days are considered as SAFE period. There is no chance of pregnancy if you have unprotected sex during this SAFE period.

You had unprotected sex a day before monthly period which comes under SAFE period. This eliminates chances of pregnancy.
If you want, you can take I-pill. Its not mandatory, but it's your call.
There are no dangerous side effects of i-pill except for variation with timing of next monthly period ie period can be delayed or may come early in next month.

Hope this helps.
Regards.

Are you sure having unprotected sex a day before menstrual cycle is safe and eliminates from pregnancy I have no issue in giving IPILL to my wife but I am scared of giving because I have heard from others that giving ipill on regular basis like once in 4 months and 3 months will affect the women and it's pregnancy which could be life threatening later which I don't want...

So that is why I am asking I had unprotected sex yesterday and naturally today she got menstrual cycle so shall I give Ipill to my wife to eliminate pregnancy or not

Also another question if I give IPILL first and then had unprotected sex in 72 hrs will that also eliminate pregnancy?

Brief Answer:
No harm from i-pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome back.

I understand your confusion.
There is no such thing like "Life threatening " side effect of i-pill.
Millions of woman are using it worldwide. I have already mentioned the possible side effects like variation with timing of pregnancy.
I-pill contains nothing but harmones which are already present in the body.
Chances of pregnancy is nill during safe period. But as this calendar method is sometimes unpredictable, we usually advice to take pill.

If you take pill first and then have sex it can also work. But we never recommend this method. It is a wise decision to adapt another safety measure like implanon to avoid unwanted early pregnancy.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
