Question: Hello, One of my friend had sex with he bf on 17 and her date was 22 , can she get preganant. what should be the remedies for not getting pragant . she is taking lemon water 5 class a day also eating papaya and vitanmin c fruits.

If she has missed her menses on 22 and its been 3 days post missed periods then the best way to rule out pregnancy would be to get a serum beta hcg test done which would be conclusive after 7 days post last intercourse. Lemon water and papaya will not prevent pregnancy at all if it has to happen. Ideally she should have taken an emergency contraceptive pill after intercourse within next 72 hrs to prevent pregnancy. Presently the best way is serum beta hcg test as urine pregnancy test would only be sensitive after 8 days post missed menses, i.e. by 30th july.
