What should I do.
Brief Answer:
Examination. Dologel CT. Upload an image if possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The action of saliva on the cut or damaged area will delay healing for a couple of weeks. This is a very sensitive area and hence some discomfort is normally expected in spite of treatment.
2. Continue to apply glycerine or an OTC anaesthetic barrier such as Dologel CT.
3. Upload a clear close-up image or get the tongue examined by a dentist or ENT Specialist.
4. Have a bland diet and medication can be decided depending upon the depth of the cut and the appearance of the rest of the tongue.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Get the cut examined if possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. Yes, you can continue using the glycerine.
2. Minor cuts heal well even with tongue movement.
3. Get the cut examined if possible. A dental check-up can rule out any sharp edge of a tooth that may have caused this.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards.
