Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
Thanks for information. Sorry for delayed response. I can understand your feelings and pain after break up of such a long relationship.
Your root problem is marriage against will. On other hand you were in love with a married man. Positive aspect is your last sentence, “Please I need some serious help so that I can move on happily with my husband."
You are in depression that is almost confirmed. It can be treated. We used to get such type of patients suffering from depression after break up frequently. In current lifestyle these are very common. Most of them come out of it with professional help and get back to their normal life as well as happily married life.
In your case negative part is loss of some beloved one to whom you can share everything. However you can easily replace the loss. We human being do not have capacity to forget. Gradually you need to accept and digest the break up in positive manner. This break up had likely saved four person's life, you both as well as spouse of both. Positive part is you are educated, having a husband who is doctor and you are ready to take help.
Treatment of depression includes both medicines and psychotherapy.
In psychotherapy I prefer cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).In mild cases only CBT is sufficient. In moderate to severe cases initially medicines and then CBT is added. And later on medicines stopped gradually.
In medicines SSRI group of drugs (fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, escitalopram) are main stay of the treatment.
Benzodiazepines group of drugs (clonazeapm, lorazepam or etizolam) are used initially for short duration for fast symptomatic relief.
In my opinion you must consult psychiatrist without hesitation as soon as possible. Earlier the treatment starts better the results.
I request you not to take any step which can harm yourself. Life is precious and you are young lady who can do many things for family and society.
Feel free to discuss further.
