Question: Hello Doctor,
I am XXXX ( Male / 26 years / 5ft 10inch / 65 kgs )
During my childhood ( 5yrs old),I had undergone a bariatic surgery where a part of my small intestine was removed. Due to this I have not been able to absorb/gain fat through out my life. I eat normal 3 vegetarian diet and 2 eggs in breakfast. I am in dire need to gain weight as I am underweight by approx 10kg. I do minor exercise at night but it didn't help me either. So can you suggest me some supplement ? Based on my research on safe and trusted supplements for protein I zeored in on 2- On Whey Protein and Serious Mass on.
Also what amount of workout needs to be done on regular basis to support weight gain using supplements
I work from 7am to 7pm which includes 4 hrs of travel time.

Brief Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM
Thank you for your query
I understand your concern
Well nothing having low weight should not concern you much
I feel you should try to increase your weight by natural means only
Take high calorie diet increase the number of eggs you have to 4 a day
Consume milk around 4 glasses a day
Can have chicken mutton in your diet increase the total volume and frequency of diet too
Health supplements usually I don't recommend especially.
Some standard pharmaceutical formulas like ensure powder or pentasure powder can be taken 4tsp four times a day.
All workout may not necessarily induce weight gain, some regular walk is good for you. Heavy workouts may actually cause weight loss if not supplemented adequately nutritionally
All this will help you in long run
Do not be obsessed about it as some people are constitutionally genetically thin and unnecessary induced weight gain is not good and carries lots of side effects
Hope this answers your questions
Happy to help
Best wishes
