Question: Hi...i m 26yrs girl..having height of 4"9feet...i want to atleast gain 2-3inches anyhow to get married to the person i want to..my weught is 35kg...i hav started gym to gain weight.how can i gain 2-3inches..wat all shud i do to atleast try to gain..i knw its nt easy but its nt imposible even.i dnt want to get ny operation done..so please sugest something n help me out in dis do or die situation..i have heard dat aftr mariage height increases in some cases...is it true????n wats d reason behind height increase aftr mariage..kindly reply to all my question

Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,
Sorry to disappoint you, but it is not possible to gain height after 26 years of age. You can look taller by wearing heals but to increase height by medications or any other method is not possible.
Very sorry to disappoint you but I do not want to give any false hopes.
Height does not increase after marriage, it is wrong information.
You can follow healthy diet,high protein and high carbohydrate diet to gain weight as at 35 kg your weight is also low. Exercise will increase your stamina.
More importantly your health matter rather than height or weight and if you are healthy all other things should not concern you.

But i have heard dat many women gain height by some inches aftr dere marriage...i dont knw d reason but many have gained...operation n all for height is risky or involve ny side effects???

No dear, sorry to disappoint you, but marriage will not increase height. What you have heard is not true. Sorry about this, but marriage cannot increase height. It is not usually seen that women out on height after age of 18.
Operation to lengthen the bones of legs are there, but have side effects and can go wrong causing deformities, moreover the increase in height and take at least a year or two to show results, during which time the patient has to wear braces.

Can u please provide me a proper diet chart for gain weight atleast..i am a vegeterian..n hav weight of 35...which is constant from last 2yrs....1kg up or down hapens sometyms..vl gym help me in puting on weight

You need to strictly follow a high protein high carbohydrate diet.

Since you are vegetarian you need to take a lot of pulses, like daal, peanuts, dry fruits like cashews-pistachios, walnuts, dates.

Calorie intake is important for weight gain. Eat bananas, milk and dairy should also be a part of your diet.

You need to eat atleast 2,500 calories per day to have weight gain along with high protein (70-80gm per day) i.e Legumes, Soyabean etc. and Fibre rich diet(whole wheat , brown rice , green leafy vegetables like stuffs)
