Supplement of Vitamin D will be required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr XXXXXX
The requirements of Vitamin D in babies is high and diet alone will be insufficient to meet the requirements. Hence supplement in form of drops is usually required.
I would suggest you the following
1. Squeeze the cheeks of baby gently with thumb and index finger and you can put the drops in mouth
2. Do give few sips of water after giving drops
Regarding diet: It is advisable to go slow on introducing food. Introduce one new feed every week, initially the baby may not like it but later will accept it. Following are the suggestion
1. Rice water (Rice Kanji )
2. Dhal water
3. Wheat porridge
4. Papaya pulp
5. Smashed sweet potato
6. Soak ragi and wheat in water for 2 hours , following which drain the exces water. Grind it and make it into thin paste ,ads sugar to taste and feed baby
7. Banana puree
8. Apple puree
9. Smashed potato
Keep changing the menu and see what baby likes
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care

Doc had recommended 5 ml of vit D twice a day. Is this dosage recommended or 1 ml twice will suffice?
1 ml twice a day is sufficient
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXXXXX
1 ml of Vitamin D contains 200 IU. So the daily requirement of Vitamin D is 400. So 1 ml twice a day is sufficient.
