Question: Hi, my husband's blood sugar is 454, the highest it has eve been. How can we get it down?

You should take him to ER.
He requires detailed clinical evaluation.
Following investigation may require on emergency basis.
- Urine ketones.
- Serum Ketones.
- Renal function test - urea, creatinine, electrolytes.
- Complete Blood Count.
- ECG.

Depending upon clinical examination and above test results further evaluation can be planned.
