Brief Answer:
Need more information for definirion the exact cause

Detailed Answer:

Usually troponin level is high, when there is damage of heart muscle, e.g heart attack.
Slight elevations can be seen in other diseases, such as myocarditis, pericarditis, acute heart failure.
Very slight elevations can be found without any serious conditions. For every troponin test, there is a cut off value for slight abnormality, serious abnormality and normal ranges.
If you could attach troponin results and describe in details patient's condition, I could give you more precise information. I need to know which troponin test has been performed, why it was performed, what complaints has the patient, whether the patient has previous heart attack and what other diseases does the patient has.

Take care
