Question: I have been sick 3 or 4 days with a sore throat on my left side with painful places on my head that seem to run in a line front to rear across my scalp. Occasional sharp pain in my throat on the one side. Mild nausea most of the time with dizziness over the past day or so. Also coughing but not all the time. No fever.

Brief Answer:
Infectious cause likely

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description, it's likely to be an upper respiratory tract infection including frontal sinusitis . The throat needs to be examined. Pharyngitis can present without fever. If there is clinical evidence to suggest a bacterial cause e.g exudate, follicular tonsillitis and painful swallow with granular /inflamed pharynx then throat swab for culture sensitivity testing should be done and antibiotics be started empirically in consultation with your doctor.
