Hi back,

Do I need a doctor's prescription for the pain reliever that you suggest? or can I get something similar on the shelves? She also have rashes on different places on her body and swelling of the lips on and off, she was told to take benadryl at night and reactine in the morning. Are those safe for her stomach? Can she take the reactine with her prescribed antacid?? Do you think the rashes and swelling are related to her very acidic stomach? Sorry about all my questions but I want to do what is best for my daughter.
Brief Answer:
Can take Benadryl or Reactine, not both of them at the same time...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
Usually, doctor's prescription is needed to take buscopan. However, there are some pharmacies that can sell over the counter some spasmodics like papaverin. Can ask to the local drug store first, then, ask for doc's prescription.
The rashes she is having are suggestive for allergy. Here, I need to clarify whether the rashes have appeared prior to starting the medications or after? That is very important as would help determine the cause of allergy.
Benadryl or Reactine is ok to take. However, if you decide to take them, choose only one: Benadryl or Reactine not both of them as they have the same effect.
Next, try to take them 1 or 2 hours after consuming antacids or before taking them.
Hope it was of help! I'll welcome any other query you might have!

She had the rashes and the swelling before she took any medication, they happened at the same time as the stomach problem; that is why I am asking if it can have anything to do with the acidic stomach
Brief Answer:
Skin rashes not related to peptic ulcer but to the following causes...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Skin rashes has nothing to do with peptic ulcer, unless:
- she is allergic to any drug
- exposed to allergic agents like dust, mites, detergents, etc. Allergy testing can rule it out.
- intestinal parasitic infections are present that can be ruled out through stool examination for ova/parasites
- viral infections
Hope it was of help!
