Suggest Ways To Manage Tantrums In A Child

Question: Our granddaughter is 2 1/2 yrs old. Lately she has been having irrational tantrums in which she begins
screaming and simply won't stop and will not listen or discuss whatever she is upset about or is
feeling. This can last from 15 minutes to an hour. Not sure what is going on or what we can do?
She does have asthma and takes puffs from an inhaler. She is of normal weight,, and is small
for her age. Is this the terrible twos?
Thank you any suggestions.

Brief Answer:
Tantrums
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
This certainly sounds like terrible twos, as you say. In some cases with asthmatic children, prolonged courses of steroid medication can cause this. But there is no mention of this in your history. If you feel that the tantrums have become way out of proportion as compared to other kids her age, I recommend bringing this up with her pediatrician at her next visit.
