Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Regesterone conta
ethynyltestosterone) is a molecule used in some combined
oral contraceptive pills and in some progestogen only pills.
It is a progestogen and can be used to treat premenstrual
syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding,
irregular periods, menopausal syndrome or to postpone a period. ins active molecule called Norethisterone is a versatile drugs used in some combined oral contraceptive pills and in some progestogen only pills.
It is a progestogen and can be used to treat premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding, irregular periods, menopausal syndrome (in combination with oestrogen), or to postpone a period.
The dose depends on indication and body weight.
You must be evaluated by a local clinician before starting it. If you have venous thrombosis or embolism, hypertension or diabetes, you should avoid taking it.
Typical dose for postponement of periods is 8 hourly, start three days prior to expected menses.
Menstrual flow starts in three days of stopping the drug. It should not be taken more than 10 days at a stretch.
I hope the advice will be helpful for you.

Thank you for answering my question. From what i understand take three days before the periods are expected and 3 times in a day.
While i was reading about sandoz regesterone i came across a lot of doctors advice on starting 1 week before and 1 doze daily. While some mention twice or once in a day
Is those suggestions incorrect ?

The only recommended right doze is 3 times/day ?

Brief Answer:
Let the clinician decide after your visit

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back.
As I mentioned the drug is used in many other conditions in varying doses.
There are various doses described.
The drug can be taken twice a day, but then needs to be started much earlier.
Once a day has high failure rate.
In nutshell your doctor will be the best judge once she examines you.
Some patients may not be fit to take even once a day dosing of this prescription drug.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
