Suggest Ways To Postpone Menstruation?

Question: Hi,
My menstrual cycle started yesterday. I have an unexpected travel scheduled for work on Thursday & wanted to know if there is any way I could stop my periods as my periods is pretty heavy and sometimes painful.

Please advice.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is not possible to stop the periods completely by thursday but pain and flow can be decreased significantly by taking tablet tranexemic acid with mefanemic acid (available as tranexa MF) thrice a day for 3 days and hopefully your problem will be relieved.
Alternatively along with this you can also start oral contraceptive pills like XXXXXXX or crisanta LS which will stop the periods even earlier but then you will have to take the fill strip which has 24 tablets.

no major side effects

Detailed Answer:
No mam tranexa MF is a very safe drug with no long term side effects.
Oral pills can cause a little nausea, breast tenderness and some mood swings in some patients but they are mild and have no effects on subsequent cycles.
