Suggest Ways To Prevent Infection Of New Tattoo

Question: I got a somewhat large tattoo on my forearm yesterday afternoon. I havent even had it for 24 hours.
I have a 9 month old son and im a stay at home mom. Ive been keeping the tattoo covered while holding him so he doesnt touch it or mess with it, but the shirts are button down shirts abd there is a small gap of exposed skin in the cuff.
I was picking up my son out of his bouncer and noticed he had a blowout diaper. I looked at the sleeve near my tattoo and a few specks of poop were on the sleeve near my tattoo. I dont know if my tattoo could havr been exposed to it.
I laid him down then washed my hands and washdd my tattoo with water and antibacterial soap before changing his diaper.
I'm worried about potential infection, and i dont know what to do.

Brief Answer:
Infection risk very unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,
the infection risk in your case is very low since there was very short exposure of the skin area. You did the right thing by desinfecting and washing it, and if the tatoo spot stays normal and shows no sign of redness there will be no further action necessary.
Best regards
