Brief Answer:
I suggest you to use tretinoin 0.05% cream once daily at night under supervision of a dermatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and I have understood it.

Stretch marks are either due to rupture Or loss of collagen bundles as a result of rapid stretching of skin which may accompany either muscle building Or increase in length as part of pubertal growth spurt, in some individuals.
You may use tretinoin 0.05% cream once daily at night over affected skin.
Tretinoin induces synthesis of new collagen as well as has collagen remodelling properties thereby reducing appearance of stretch marks.
Tretinoin is to be used with caution in females who are pregnant Or in females of reproductive age group. Tretinoin can have adverse effect on developing fetus therefore it should be avoided in pregnancy or females who cannot ensure adequate contraception during its use. I suggest you to use this cream only under supervision of a dermatologist.

Thanks for the detailed response. I am already using Acutret tablets - Isotretinoin for acne treatment. Is that only for acne treatment or would it help in collagen production?

Brief Answer:
Isotretinoin has no effect on collagen remodelling

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Isotretinoin is only for acne.
Isotretinoin has no effect on collagen synthesis or remodelling even though both tretinoin and isotretinoin belong to the same class of retinoids. Isotretinoin is oral and tretinoin is a topical retinoid.
Isotretinoin also has the same teratogenic side effects on fetus just like tretinoin.
