Suggest Ways To Rule Out Lumbar Spondylosis
Question: have pain in lower right side that seems like a muscle pulled type pain but woke up just now and pain is more than has been. going on for about a week. wondered about other things appendix?
Brief Answer:
Could be lumbar spondylosis / sacrilitis. Appendix unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read the details of your concern.
Appendix pain is unlikely to last for one week without increasing symptoms like fever , vomiting and severe intermittent pain.
The pain you have described is more likely to be caused by muscle spasm , may be due to lumbar spondylosis or sacroilitis.
I recommend pain killers with muscle relaxants . If you don't feel relief in 2-3 days then it will be better to visit ER to get x Rays , ultrasound abdomen and check up.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.

the pain is for sure not felt by pushing anywhere in the abdomen are and seems to but on top of my upper right butt area. just trying to rule out any more serious possibilities. Pain comes and goes....gets better and worse but is steady. Does this seem to confirm your diagnosis?
Brief Answer:
Yes the nature of pain is consistent with my diagnosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The pain you are describing now is consistent with my diagnosis of lumbar spondylosis / Sacro ilitis . Start the treatment and add Muscle strengthening exercises for the lower back. wait for 7-10 days before going for X rays if Required.
Thankx
