At this point, the first step is to check for pregnancy. Some women could have delayed period due to non pregnant causes. So first check pregnancy first. She could do that easily using home pregnancy kit. Blood hCG level is much more reliable test than home pregnancy kit. Consider either of the two tests to confirm / rule out pregnancy.

If it is indeed pregnancy and both of you do not intend to continue pregnancy, it can be terminated through abortion pills taken under supervision of a gynecologist. Off course an ultrasound scan should be done before staring abortion pills.
