Question: In Feb I was given a answer as how to wean off 75 mg of Effexor. The second answer was great. I lost this information. Can I get it again?

Hi and Welcome to HCM.

Witdrawal should be gradual of course. Since you wasnt taking it for very long time, you should not have problems with it.

Reduce the dose 15 mg/day every 7 days and then when you reach 37.5 after 2 weeks, you should take it for next 2 weeks and then again reduce it 15mg per week. It means that you should stop it completely after 5-6 weeks.

I am confused with the answer. If I have a 75 mg capsule how can I reduce it 15mg ? I know there are beads in the capsule so do I take out bead? Also, did you mean to do this once a week or reduce by 15mg every day?
