Swelling In Foot And Hands. Eaten Fermented Food. What Can Be The Reason?
Question: I am XXXXXXX sanghvi,ht-5.1", wt-76 kg, age-48 yrs
I have too much swelling on my foot and hands,this is all of the sudden,I have travelfrom B'lore to Mumbai two days before.it is not due to travelling that I am very sure.What can be the other reason? Few yrs back if I had fermentated items I use to have but then I started taking care of it.So this is not the reason

Swelling over foot and hand can be due to many reasons. Few of which are,
Positional
Weight gain
Hormonal imbalance, Thyroid disorders
Heart disease
Renal disease
Medications like steroids
Diabetes
Hypertension
Anemia
Allergy or local causes
I would request you to get yourself evaluated by a Physician.
It would be good if you get a few tests done like repeat Thyroid function, Renal function, Complete blood count,Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, LH and FSH, Fasting and post lunch sugar levels.
Get your Blood pressure checked as well.
In the mean time a few suggestions:
1. Reduce salt intake in food
2. Exercise
3. Keep the legs raised with a couple of pillows under the ankle when you sleep
Getting yourself evaluated would help us in finding the right diagnosis for the right treatment
