Additional details. Just noticed it last Thursday after shower. Seems to be fading a little each day. Not itchy. No recall of ticks, or poison ivy. Live in SW VA and no recent camping or travel. No fever or change in joints, and no other symptoms.
Had a scheduled visit with doctor on Nov 14 for blood work and check up. Labs were all normal with no concerns. Cholesterol levels good, liver and kidney fine. Had experienced loose bowels so he ordered a stool sample which I submitted this past week. No results yet.
Meds are generics for Lipitor, Zantac and Singular. I’ve been taking for years and are good low-dose controls.

Brief Answer:
Need to rule out lime disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Thank you for following up with the details.
The self subsiding rash you noticed is very characteristic of lyme disease. Lyme disease is a tick transmitted infection which is very common in XXXXXXX
So, lyme disease need to be considered even in the absence of recent history of camping or trecking.
Blood antibody analysis can confirm the diagnosis.
If lyme disease is confirmed, treatment is with antibiotics(amoxicillin).
Appropriate treatment can clear up the infection and prevent future complications like lyme arthritis.
The rash may also be a simple allergic contact dermatitis. However, given the typical characteristics of the rash and your geographical location, please be advised to follow up with your primary provider to confirm/rule out lyme disease .
Hope I have answered your question.
Please let me know if I can asdist you further
