Taking E-mycen For A Skin Infection. Missing Periods. PG Test Negative. Am I Pregnant?

Welcome to XXXXXXX
e-mycen contains erythromycin as active ingredient. It is not responsible for delayed period as missed period is not mentioned as its side effect any where.
I would like to know the last time you carried the urine pregnancy test. It should be done at least a week after missed period if done before that chances of false negative test will be high.
If you have done before a week of missed period i advice you to repeat the test and it is better to use the early morning sample of urine as it i creases the sensitivity.
If this result is also negative, chances of you being pregnant is less as the test is nearly 97 to 98 % accurate. I advice you to see Gynecologist for thorough examination and exact diagnosis.
Hope I have provided the information you needed.
Wish you good health. Take care.

I did have the flu 2weeks before, i had a fever, and was taking cold a flu tablets from over the counter. ive always been regular and if i was ever late it was never more than 5 days, i also have never missed a period. could this cause a missed period?
thanks
Good to hear from you.
There are many causes of missed periods like, 1) Stress - it can affect many things in our lives, including our periods. Sometimes we're so stressed out that our body decreases the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which causes us to not ovulate or menstruate. 2) Illness - A sudden, short illness or even a longer illness can cause your periods to be delayed. This is usually temporary. 3) Changing schedules can really throw off your body clock. This is particularly true if you go from days to nights at work or vice versa.
As you are very much puzzled about the pregnancy you can go for transvaginal ultrasonography (TVUS), for the diagnosis of pregnancy.
I advice you to see OBG specialist for thorough examination and for exact diagnosis.
Hope i have cleared your queries. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.
