Taking Immunoglobulin For CIDP. Can It Be Used In Pregnancy?
Question: Can immunoglobulin that I use for CIDP be used in pregnancy? I have cidp, have had for 7 years now 7 weeks pregnant, have IVIG every three months over two days a total of 800mls
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) therapy is safe in pregnancy. In several clinical studies, excellent outcomes of pregnancy have been noted in pregnant women treated with IVIG.
The safety of IVIG is also maintained during pregnancy.
So, you can safely continue to use IVIG during pregnancy for your CIDP.
