Teat Report Showed Acute Non- Hemorrhagic Infaracts / Ischemia. What Could Be Done?
Question: 1) hello ...two altered signal areas in the left frontal parasagittal lobe ( pre-central gyrus) and left parietal lobe , involving the cortical grey as well as white matter - represents Acute Non- Hemorrhagic Infaracts / Ischemia.
2) Multiple focal altered signals areas in bilateral frontal and parietal subcortical, XXXXXXX white matter - represents Chronic Ischemia.
treat ment has started within 24 hrs..... want to know about his recovery ... his right leg has become weak .... he can lift his right leg but toes fingers not working ..... this happened in his right leg only.

The findings are suggestive of brain stroke due to lack of blood flow to brain.
Recovery in brain stroke is fast and good, if the treatment is started early.
In his case, regular physiotherapy is important in making his strength recover sooner.
In addition, blood thinners such as aspirin and statins should be used to prevent any recurrence of brain stroke.
Risk factors for causing stroke such as diabetes, high BP or cholesterol and high homocysteine should be looked for and treated if found.
