Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back with your clarifications
1.Make sure you don’t brush too vigorously which may/can cause receding gums.
2.Since disease of teeth can range from simple gum inflammation to serious disease, those results in major damage to the soft tissue and bone that support the teeth, it is strongly recommended that you should visit a dental hygienist who may provide you with treatment options.
3.Make sure treatment offered 2-3 years back was “scaling” [which could be one reason for sensitivity] as the procedure causes removal of tartar due to which there was gum recession and sensitive tooth. [as unable to understand the word ‘grainding’ [please clarify]
4.STRESS itself is one cause of release of gastric juices as such:
i.Avoid periods of starvation: take small meals every 3 hours, do not keep the stomach empty, also do not take heavy meals.
ii.Avoid tea & coffee- never on empty stomach, milk is good- cold milk is better.
iii.For breakfast & snacks: bread or toast with jam, cheese or butter, idli, sheera, cornflakes, plain khakra.
iv.Avoid deep fried and hot foods like samosa, pakoda, masala dosa, hamburgers. You may take sweets, cakes.
v.Avoid all chilies; avoid chaat preparations, for meals, vegetables and other preparations should be non- spicy. Take plenty of raw and boiled vegetables. Take rice with plain dal or milk or ghee. Take chapatti, phulka or roti.
vi.Avoid sour fruits like unripe citrus, grapes, apples, plums, and berries, take sweet fruits, dry fruits.
vii.Home remedies for pyorrhea, sensitive teeth which can be practiced [as per your liking/choice] are:
. mix saindhav lavan with mustard oil and use as dentifrice [manjan]
. adding soda bi-carb with turmeric, and use as dentifrice is effective.
. ADD grinded potash alum 250 mg in 25 gm XXXXXXX [gairik] and use as dentifrice
. burn leaves or seed of mango, and use filtered ash of the same as dentifrice.
. daily applying lemon juice or a piece of it on gums is effective in controlling gum swelling, pus and scurvy.
. if you notice swelling of gums then after making syrup of jaggery, make it warm and gargle with it.
. some of the prescription medicine readily available in market are
i.Irimedadi tail/jatyadi tail/khadiradi tail [baidyanath] to be used as gargles.
ii.Gumtone [charak] tooth powder as dentifrice: half a teaspoon of powder placed on the fore finger or a soft tooth brush may be rubbed on the gum and teeth in morning and evening.
iii.Khadiradi vati [baidyanath]] as lozenges
iv.G-32 tablet [Alarsin]; crush 2-3 tablets to powder, apply it over
v.Payokil [gurukul kangri] powder
vi XXXXXXX dant manjan [divya pharmacy] [strengthens the gums, as a result of which discharge of pus mixed with blood gets stopped, removes foul smell coming from the mouth] and is known to produce some amount of digestive and carminative effect.
vii.Eat foods with antioxidant properties [those containing vitamin E] like vegetable oils, nuts, green leafy vegetables and vitamin C like citrus fruits, broccoli, potatoes -- can help your body repair damaged tissue, avoid nuts, dried fruit [make sure acidity is not an issue for it], and dehydrated foods, soft drinks, candy, cookies and pastries, take low-fat and fat-free dairy foods try to take as less STRESS as possible as high levels generally weakens the immune system.
PS
Your dentist or periodontist may recommend more frequent check-ups, cleanings, and treatments to better manage the condition. [With regular dental care, your dentist can help prevent oral problems from occurring in the first place and catch those that do occur in the early stages, while they are easy to treat.]
