Test Done For SGPT, Bilirubin Direct, Triglycerides And Cholesterol. Are The Findings In Normal Range?
The significant value here is the triglycerides. Between 200 and 499 would be classified as high.
High triglycerides may be related to : diabetes, low levels of thyroid hormone, inherited through families, obesity, high intake of carbohydrates, excess alcohol use.
To reduce your level, the present guidelines from the amerian heart association indicate the following would be best: (1) a weight loss of 5 to 10 % of present weight
(2) reduce your use of added sugars (3) reduce your intake of fructose to no more than 50 to 100 g daily from processed foods, the packages would state how much is present. Use fruits and vegetables with low fructose such as strawberries, grapes, peaches. Also use foods with high fibre and whole grains
(4) reduce your carbohydrate intake by reducing the amount of rice/pasta/bread/biscuits/flour products because high carbohydrates lead to high triglycerides
(5) reduce saturated fat
(6)increase your use of omega fatty acids because these decrease triglycerides. These can be found in fatty fish such as sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon, herring.
Omega supplements can also be used
(7) Increase physical activity to at least 150 mins a week
VLDL contains the highest amount of triglycerides, this is why this value is also elevated.

If the levels remain high then nicotinic acid or a fibrate is added.
Please feel free to ask any thing else
The nicotinic acid has different formulations, an immediate release and an extended release. The immediate release has to be given multiple times during the day, the dose is started low and increased if necessary.
The extended release is given once a day at night.
The fibrates are given once daily with food, the dose varies according to which fibrate is used. They are different manufacturers of different fomulations of the drug.
Your doctor will advise you on which is better for you.
