Question: Thank you. My name is Karyle Tong and I have recently been diagnosed with gall bladder issues. I am scheduled for an endoscopy(?) prior to the removal of my gall bladder. The surgeon mentioned that a sonogram found a perforation in my pancrease which is the reason for the endoscopy. I'm now a bit concerned about the pancrease issue and I wonder if you could, under these circumstances, give me some information on potential pancrease issues should a perforation be found. Are they performing only an Upper GI Endoscopy? Or Endoscopic Ultrasound too? Or performing any procedure?
Perforation here may mean pancreatitis as your Doctor would have explained you in a legible way. There may be a pseudo-cyst formation or so. May need further thorough clinical evaluation, correlation with the reports and further investigations to know the exact position.

Thank you for your quick response.I will try to respond to your questions.
1. I don't have the actual reports available but I can tell you a sonogram was done last week and my dr showed us pictures.
2. Symptoms come on suddenly but mostly seem to happen early-mid morning. Symptoms are always the same (for the most part) and include naseau, pain/heaviness in my chest. I don't know if this is related or not, but I get what I call the "janglies", where both hands are shaking to the point that Im afraid to hold something. This is sort of being controlled with the valium. The intensity of the shaking does decrease after I have taken a pill but the shaking stays around just at a lower volume. I should also mention that I have afib and have been wearing a heart monitor for the last 14 days I am meeting with a cardiologist in the next few weeks. My doctor thinks its an electrical issue.
3. I am scheduled for a breath test and the procedure is an upper GI only.
4. Perforation may be the wrong term to use, sorry. Your description of a cyst makes sense to me.
So,should it be a cyst should I be concerned? I've lost friends to panceatic cancer and hearing the word pancreas is unsettling.

I can understand that pancreas related problems are unsettling.
Since shaking of hands is helped with valium indicates more towards anxiety.
Afib can be tackled only by Cardiologist well a specialty in itself. I hope this does not cause any problems during Upper GI Endoscopy. You may please ask very specifically about the risks involved..
Breath test may be related to spirometry or pulmonary function test. Please get this done, helps to confirm or rule out any respiratory system related problems.
Pseudocyst of pancreatitis comes after an attack of pancreatitis and is a benign disease, not a cancer so nothing to worry about; most probably there might have been swelling over pancreas.
Also get blood tests, calcium in particular, liver, kidney, sugar and as would be requested and please try to collect reports and post here so that we can discuss well.
